These Numbered Days is the catalogue for an exhbition of Hornung's paintings and cyanotypes at Schweinfurth Art Center in summer of 2017.

Distant Psalms, Cold Rain, is a collaboration with the poet Michael Glover published in 2017. It combines Hornung's cyanotypes with Glover's poetry.

"The production is immaculate. From the fine printing of the title, all the way to the very stitching, it is a highly considered and satisfying work. I remember the look of David Hornung’s cyanotypes and they have been reproduced so perfectly that they again have the status of prints".

John Birtwhistle, author of Our Worst Vision of Wat Tyler, Eventualities and other volumes of poetry.

Shadow and Substance is the catalogue for the May 2015 exhibition at John Davis Galery, Hudson, NY

Color: A Workshop for Artists and Designers was published in 2004 by Laurence King Publishing Ltd. in London. (An American version titled Color: A Workshop Approach was distributed in the same year by McGraw-Hill.) Since then it has been translated into French, Spanish, Polish, Korean, Chinese and Japanese. The book grew out of a color course Mr. Hornung taught for ten years at the Rhode Island School of Design and includes many examples of student work. The course was designed to bridge color theory and practice for artists and designers. The English version (Laurence King Ltd.) is available on AmazonUK and the American version (McGraw-Hill) can be found on Amazon Books. The Second Edition was published in September of 2012.

Corona, a collaboration with the poet Susan Sindall, was published in 2008.
